Karen Patterson is the Founder and Executive Director of Agape Love Institute, Inc. She is a native of the Metro Kansas City area. She graduated from Sumner Academy of Arts and Science. She is a Military veteran who served 8 years in the US Marine Corp.  She attained her degree Bachelors of Science in Information Systems and currently works as an Independent Clinical Scientist in the Pharmaceutical Drug Research industry. She has spent 20 years studying various therapeutic areas of research to include Oncology, Virology, Women’s Health Studies, and CNS (Central Nervous System) diseases.  Karen has been a world traveler over 4 continents (USA, Canada, Europe, Mexico, and Japan) for both pleasure and career related endeavors.  She’s a mother of two handsome adult sons who are both college graduates.


Lieutenant Colonel Sonya K. Friday is a native of Wichita, Kansas.  She graduated from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate of Science Degree in Law Enforcement.  She received her ROTC commission in May 1990 and entered active duty in January 1991.  Her military education includes the Military Police Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, United States Army Airborne School, Protective Service Training, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Force Management School, Command and General Staff College, and Joint Forces Staff College (JPME II). 
 
After entering active duty in 1991, LTC Friday served as a Physical Security Officer for the 196th Ordnance Battalion at Grefrath, Germany.  She then served in the 95th Military Police Battalion as a Platoon Leader for the 570th MP Company (Rail Guard) and the Battalion S-1 both in Mannheim, Germany; she also commanded the 554th Military Police Company, Stuttgart, Germany where she deployed her company to Kaposvar, Hungary and Bosnia.  Following her overseas assignments, LTC Friday served as a Professor of Military Science at Jackson State University, Jackson, MS.  She relocated to the Washington District area where she served in several positions.  Her initial assignment was with the Washington District CID Battalion as the Battalion S-3.  She was reassigned to the Pentagon where she served as a Homeland Security Officer, Synchronization Staff officer and a strategic planner for the Deputy Chief of Staff Programs (G-8).  LTC Friday’s last assignment in the Washington D.C. area was serving as the Chief of Force Protection for the 55th Presidential Inauguration; during this time she also received a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University.  In April 2005, LTC Friday relocated to Fort Drum, NY, where she served as the Operations Officer (S-3) for the 91st Military Police Battalion and deployed to Afghanistan as part of Task Force Vigilant.  After Climbing to Glory, she was reassigned to the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) Norfolk, VA as a Joint Planner, while assigned to JECC she deployed to Ramadi, Iraq as a force protection planner for Task Force Ramadi.  Following her time with the Joint Staff she commanded the 1002nd MP BN, Bamberg Germany 2009-2011 and currently serves as the IG for USACIDC.
